Summary:

The video talks mainly about migration, refugees, economic and social problems and gives a lot of information about immigrants. All this can be seen around the world in recent years, as people look for somewhere where they can find a better way of life. They talk about the definition of a “refugee” which refers to a person who is afraid of being persecuted for their culture, religion, country of origin, etc. The video talks about how the vast majority of refugees have decent health and how some of them need psychological help, not to mention that most of them need financial help in most cases, to be able to support their family, keep their home and live a full life.

Personal opinion:

I think that migration is something very common and respectable, as at any time in our lives we will have to recur to it to be able to have a better life, in life everything is unpredictable and today’s society is full of cases that are so surprising that they are shocking. Being forced to seek help for work, family, money or just because we want to do it is something that human beings understand and are not afraid to face changes. Another point I would like to comment on is the responsibilities that some governments provide for refugees, as there are many countries that accept refugees and help them to establish their homes, but there is also the other side of the coin, those countries that are extremely racist or deny opportunities to this kind of people, those countries should evolve and start to think that we no longer live in an ancient time in which everything was weird and strange and that their existence should be feared or ignored.

 

 

Uff another year online, and I agree with that since chile is not prepared to attend face to face classes (or so I think).
What can I say? my goals haven’t changed much, I’m trying to improve myself as a person and my language skills, my expectations for this semester are that this semester will be good and not so stressful, i’m really surprised because we’ve been in classes for 1 week and I’m already feeling tired, not because it’s been hard at all but because I really feel that I didn’t rest as much as i wanted to during the holidays.

Apart from that I’m still a bit sad because I still have some problems although I’m not far from solving them, my principal problem is that I couldn’t participate in classes because the blackboard page doesn’t identify my microphone (so I can’t use it in any way) but this will be solved this Thursday 18th! I ordered a new microphone to be able to use it, I hope it arrives before but it seems that it will arrive on that day.

I like this dynamic of blogs as it helps me to release my feelings and it relaxes me, for the rest I would like to continue learning and I hope to continue having the support of my family and teachers, because it really makes me sad when they are not there to listen to me or assist me in anything.

And with respect to a picture of something very important to me, it is my family (you can see my brother, me, my mom and my dad respectively) although in that picture I don’t have my hair as long as it is now.
